Clinical Psychology

Sarah has more than a decade’s experience as a clinical psychologist and trauma informed therapist, working with people of all ages and backgrounds. She helps people to recognise their negative core beliefs, unhelpful thoughts and behaviours, and to change them. Ultimately Sarah supports clients with refined methods in clinical psychology to build better relationships and make stronger connections within the community.

Sarah specialises in addressing distress related to adverse or traumatic experiences. These can range from objectively traumatic events such as combat trauma or sexual assault, subjective situations like relationship difficulties, work stress, neglect or bullying, or trauma of omission such as neglect. She uses a range of strategies and approaches to help people navigate their circumstances, always matching the most effective treatment to the individual.

Sarah has worked in private practice, and in educational, hospital and non-government organisational settings. The range of concerns she sees includes posttraumatic stress disorder, eating disorders, depression, anxiety, psychosis, obsessive-compulsive disorder, attachment-based challenges, behavioural difficulties, and chronic pain.

Sarah is trained and experienced in a variety of treatment approaches, including EMDR, imagery rescripting, CBT, schema therapy, enhanced CBT for eating disorders, and DBT.

Unfortunately, Sarah is currently at capacity and not taking on new clients.
