EMDR Consultation and Supervision

The following information outlines the general requirements for each level of accreditation. Please note that these requirements are subject to change. For the most up-to-date information, please refer to the official EMDRAA website: emdraa.org.

At The Wattle Centre, we offer supportive, trauma-informed consultation and supervision for clinicians at all stages of practice. Led by Dr Sarah Dominguez — an EMDRAA-accredited consultant and trainer, and an AHPRA-accredited supervisor — our services include EMDR skill development, accreditation support, and guidance for therapists navigating the 4+2 and 5+1 pathways. Whether you’re seeking to refine your EMDR practice, work towards accreditation, or explore complex cases, our experienced team is here to help with knowledgeable and supportive guidance.

Individual EMDR Consultation and Supervision

Individual supervision/consultation provides a focused and personalized space for therapists to explore their clinical work, address challenges, and enhance their skills.

Consultation sessions are typically offered on Monday and Wednesday during Sydney office hours.

Fees

Session fees are charged to align with the Australian Psychological Society fee schedule. As such, the cost of a 50-minute session is $311 including GST. If you are working full-time in charity or not-for-profit roles, or supporting clients with lower income, please contact me about the possibility of reduced rates.

Group EMDR Therapy Consultation

All groups require the participants to have completed at least part 1 of an EMDRAA accredited EMDR therapy training. We deliver two streams of consultation groups.

  1. Basic Training Groups for individuals looking for general consultation or working towards completing their EMDR Basic Training*.

  2. Accreditation Groups for individuals who have completed their basic training and are working towards EMDRAA accredited practitioner or accredited consultant

All times are based on NSW time.

* Basic Training includes 40 hours of teaching and practicum (Level 1 and Level 2 workshops) and 10 hours of accreditation. For more information regarding Basic Training, see our EMDR Basic Training page.

Please note EMDR consultation is focused on improving skills directly related to EMDR therapy. As such it is not a substitute for general supervision.

For group sessions, as long as there is active participation all group members can count the total group time towards their basic training or accreditation goals.
